Hello All,

I hope you are having a great summer thus far.  Our next meeting, July 12, 2011, is slowly sneaking up on us and it should be an awesome meeting.  We have (2) SolidWorks All-Stars lined up to present so I would mark your calendars right now.

Mike Garvelink (Gentex Corporation) is going to be doing a presentation titled Administration 101.

Nathan Garrett (Cruxtone Product Development) is also going to be at our meeting doing a presentation on Surfacing.  Nathan will be doing an in depth look at working with surfaces.  However, Nathan is looking to change up the typical presentation.  He is asking for ALL OF YOUR help.  He would like his presentation to be more of a round table discussion of surfacing as opposed to the typical sit and listen presentation.  Nathan would like you to send him example models, questions, issues, etc. ahead of time so that he can get the ball rolling but he will also take questions at the meeting.  If you have something you would like Nathan to cover please feel free to send him a message by clicking here.

Also, a quick update on the WMSWUG logo contest that was announced at our March meeting.  I have received 2 entries from 1 member and that is all.  We have decided to push the contest out more in hopes of receiving more submissions.  I have currently lined up a NVIDIA graphics card as the prize to the member whose logo gets chosen by you the members.  The new cutoff for submitting an entry is Wednesday, August 31, 2011.
